Family Care.
Thoughtful dentistry for every stage of life. From a child's first tooth to senior care, we are a dental home for families across Hastings, Trent Hills, and Northumberland County.
Convenience matters, but trust matters more.
By treating the whole family in one location, we make it easier to manage appointments and maintain everyone's health. But more importantly, we build lasting relationships that allow us to provide truly personalised care over the years.
We welcome patients of all ages — toddlers on their first visit, teenagers managing orthodontic care, adults due for a long-overdue checkup, and seniors managing complex dental health needs. One clinic, one team, one relationship.
When should my child first see a dentist?
The Canadian Dental Association recommends that a child sees a dentist within six months of their first tooth erupting, or by their first birthday — whichever comes first. These early visits are low-key and positive: we check that development is on track and coach parents on brushing technique, diet, and what to expect as more teeth come in.
Early positive experiences make a measurable difference in how children feel about dental care for the rest of their lives. We take that responsibility seriously.
How do you make kids comfortable at the dentist?
We use a "tell-show-do" method with our younger patients. Before anything happens, we explain what we're going to do in friendly, age-appropriate language, show them the tools (the "tooth counter," the "water squirter"), and only proceed when they feel safe and ready.
We never rush or pressure a child. If a child is very anxious, we're happy to start with a simple meet-and-greet visit — no dental work at all — so they can see the space, meet the team, and sit in the chair at their own pace. Building trust is the first treatment.
Do you accept family coverage under CDCP or other plans?
Yes. We are an enrolled CDCP provider and accept ODSP, Healthy Smiles Ontario, IFHP, NIHB, and most private insurance plans. Children in eligible households can receive care under the CDCP — eligibility is based on household income and insurance status.
We direct-bill most insurers, so you pay only your co-pay (if any) at the time of your visit. We'll tell you exactly what's covered before we begin any treatment.
Do you see patients from Campbellford, Norwood, and nearby communities?
Absolutely. We serve families from Hastings, Campbellford, Norwood, Havelock, Stirling, Warkworth, Marmora, Roseneath, and all of Trent Hills and Northumberland County. We're one of the few practices in the region accepting the full range of provincial programs alongside private insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should my child first see a dentist?
The Canadian Dental Association recommends a child's first dental visit within six months of their first tooth appearing, or by their first birthday — whichever comes first. These early 'happy visits' are low-key: we get your child comfortable with the chair, check that development is on track, and give parents guidance on brushing and diet.
Do you accept children on the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
Yes. Children in eligible households can receive care under the CDCP. We are an enrolled provider and bill Sun Life directly. Eligibility is based on the family's combined household income and insurance status — visit canada.ca to check eligibility and apply.
Can the whole family be seen at the same clinic?
Yes — that's exactly the point. We see patients of all ages, from toddlers having their first check to seniors managing long-term dental health. Keeping the whole family at one practice means we know your history, your patterns, and your preferences. It also makes scheduling easier.
How do you handle kids who are nervous about the dentist?
We use a 'tell-show-do' approach with younger patients: we explain what we're going to do in simple, friendly language, show them the tools, and only proceed when they feel safe. We never rush or restrain. If a child is very anxious, we're happy to start with just a meet-and-greet visit — no treatment at all — so they can get used to the environment on their own terms.
Do you accept patients from Campbellford, Norwood, and nearby communities?
Absolutely. We welcome families from Hastings, Campbellford, Norwood, Havelock, Stirling, Warkworth, Marmora, and across Trent Hills and Northumberland County. We're one of the few clinics in the region accepting CDCP for the whole family.
